"I was going to write and sing the praises of Dom, Tom and Ben. They could not have worked longer hours starting at 7.30 am each morning and working late into the evening, in the earlier months both in the dark and miserably cold weather. As the evenings got lighter the working day extended even further into the evening.

Not once, despite being away from home, working through storms and having no power for an evening, did Martin or I hear them moan about anything, neither did we get any hint of anything less than the fact that they loved what they did and enjoyed working together as a team. They were always polite, respectful, and courteous. They made the Oak restoration fun and exciting for us, not daunting, involving us in what was happening and explaining fully the implications of decisions that were needed from us, although there weren’t many.

Neither did they give any indication of the true skill that was involved (other than their finished work), or the weight of the beams, or indeed the precarious heights from which they worked, they always just got on with the task in hand without drama.

All three of them are an absolute credit to GOC and without doubt we would recommend them to anyone, not just their workmanship but their whole demeanour.

I think it goes without saying that we are chuffed to bits with their work, and it was lovely to have three such wonderful young men working with us on this very exciting project."
