Oak Outbuildings
The list of different types of outbuilding we have built over the years is a long one; boathouses, shooting lodges, summer houses, sports pavilions, garden offices and studios, stables and greenhouses, to name but a few.
The same level of care and attention to detail is always applied regardless of how small the structure may be. Often these buildings give us an opportunity to showcase natural materials in harmony with their surroundings and in this regard timber really shines. Good traditional carpentry detailing is evident at Harting Barn and Holly Lodge Cartshed, or you can see examples of a more modern style used in the boat house at Grindstone Mill. As you can see, these buildings all have something a little different and exciting about them.
Where structures are exposed to the weather we are able to design to ensure the maximum longevity of the timber. Whilst Oak is a good choice for durability, it does not like being kept wet and here good detailing is vital. Whatever your project may be, talk to us.
