The following is a commendation letter received from our client, the manager of Northholt and Greenford Countryside Park:

Dear Andrew

I was very pleased to be able to show candidates for the Project Managers job this unique new bridge, which was looking so good. All were very impressed.

I have to say, that I doubt that the bridge would have been such a success, had it not been for the expertise and assistance of The Green Oak Carpentry Company. Not only with the traditional design and construction work but also with the engineered solutions to the gradient for disabled access, and abutment support. It was a struggle to deliver the bridge on time given the poor performance of other partners on the project, but you and your colleagues were always very helpful and made a major contribution to the successful delivery of the overall scheme. Finally, your help with securing the carving of the “green man” motifs was much appreciated and has helped to add further character to the bridge, which has generated a lot of interest.

Everyone is very impressed with the finished result and I thought I would just take the opportunity of belatedly giving my thanks to you and your team for a job very well done. I have submitted the bridge for a Civic Society award for next year and have every expectation of its success.

Yours sincerely

P White

The following is a commendation letter received from a client for a green oak house:

24 April 2009

Dear Mr Holloway

RE: Wheely Copse Cottage

I am writing to express my sincere thanks for the excellent job which has just been completed on the Oak Frame extension to the above property.

Not only is the quality of the work faultless, it is a true work of art, which will bring endless enjoyment to me and my wife. The end result has surpassed our wildest expectations.

I have been extremely impressed at the service I have received throughout the project, and thanks must go to Laurence, Steve and Adrian for their professional and helpful management. In addition it was a pleasure to watch the construction team consisting of Mick, Andy, Mark and Clark at work. Their skills are a great credit to your company.

May I also give credit to Richard Wetherill of Aventa Architects, who was recommended to me at the start of the project. He has managed the project with great attention to detail and creativity, and I would have no hesitation in further recommending his services to others.

My sincere thanks for a job well done.

With kind regards,

Ray Nicolaides

Dear Andrew

Re: Westbrook House Elstead Surrey – WP 25b

Garden Room Oak Roof structure – steel corbel bracket support.

Further to my visit today to your works to review the progress on the above structure, which is due for installation early in the New Year, it was extremely pleasing to see what crafts men can actually produce from the stack of material, which I observed no more than 10 days ago.

In my opinion one could not fail to be impressed by the final product as observed today.

The following is a letter received from a client:

Dear Steve

I would like to say how much I appreciate the work done by your team at The Green Oak Company. The quality of the work is superb and I also marvelled at the efficiency of the way the timber assembly took place. We were particularly grateful at the way the site was left tidy.

I like the design now I see the frames up and I would like to go ahead with the construction of the two barn doors North and South Face as we have discussed previously. You will need to liaise with builder Keith about the exact size of the timber door frames. He has yet to add the floor insulation layor and underfloor heating pipes and top tiles so it may be better to wait until the exact dimensions can be measured.

Please pass on my thanks to the whole team and particularly to Jamie who has supervised such a splendid professional job. I have kept a photographic record of the construction and would be delighted to give you a copy and allow any of your potential customers to view your work.

Lower Dairy Barn at Kents Farm is a Grade II listed building and should now be around for a few hundred years thanks to you!

With best wishes

John Edge

The following is a letter received from a client:

Over a six year period, we worked with Andrew Holloway and Stephen Corbett, and the rest of The Green Oak Carpentry Company in an effort to design and build one of the United Kingdom’s most challenging carpentry projects – the new Conservation Centre at the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum near Chichester, West Sussex.

In my mind, as project architect consulting with Edward Cullinan Architects, the Green Oak Carpentry Company turned a paper project into a real building through sheer determination, innovation, and skills. The management of their part of the work was achieved with grace and elegance while working with a fixed budget under extreme pressure through the wettest winter in British history coinciding with the foot and mouth crisis.

It was a great pleasure working with a construction crew with such professionalism, sensitivity and – very importantly – humour. We believe that the finished project will stand the test of time as one of Briton’s landmark buildings.

The following is a letter received from a client:

Dear Andrew

Thank you so much for everything, it truly is a magnificent structure. As we said before, we will be having a thank you party for all those involved once the house is finished.

It was also most kind of you to send Roger your appreciation note. He was very chuffed, as indeed were we.

Kindest regards to you and the team

Linda

The following is a letter received from a client:

Dear Andrew

Oak King Post Trusses

I am writing to say how thrilled my wife and I are with the oak trussed roof you have erected over our extension. It looks most impressive even though it has not yet been sand blasted. We are delighted with the design.

Knowing our access was awkward we were a little anxious as to quite how the trusses would be lifted into position. In the event this worked perfectly. Along with the skilful crane driver, Julian and his team performed a wonderful job fitting it all together and it was fascinating to see the experts in action.

Could you pass on my thanks to Steve who was very reassuring and helpful throughout. My thanks to you for all your advice.

Yours sincerely

R Smith

"Thank you for the frame that you have just finished at Rogate. It was a miserable wet day, yesterday and John and team carried on regardless. We are delighted with the overall look and also the mouldings to the members. As usual, the frame was millimetre accurate and will be easy to take forward to complete the building."

Bob, Trembath Associates

"I wanted to drop you a quick note to show my appreciation for your guys efforts today; they were a pleasure to have around the house and worked hard to get the frame up today."
