Marley Manor Pool Barn
1 / 4
This is another classic form of pool enclosure with side aisles and King post trusses, this time with a highly efficient stainless steel ‘gib and cotter’ tensioning system between the foot of the King post and the tie beam. The building is the work of local architect Robert Trembath who continues to carry out excellent work in the area. (Photography: Duncan McNichol)
Besides the pool barn we fabricated a stairs tower and fitness studio adjoining the main pool. These shots taken in our workshop at prefabrication stage, and show the conical roof of the stairs tower and its main octagonal roof post which lands on the corner of the top plate of the fitness studio to make a neat termination. Here is the main pool barn roof frame assembled ready for us to cut and pitch the oak rafters. When roof structures have a level of complexity is pays to pre-assemble in the workshop before final assembly on site. (Photography: Duncan McNichol)
Here we see the hip end of the main pool barn and the stairs tower and fitness studio roofs assembled on site nearly ready for hand over to the builder to clad. (Photography: Duncan McNichol)
“"We have constructed several buildings using Oak frames designed, manufactured and erected by the Green Oak Carpentry Company. We are pleased to confirm that their work is accurate, well detailed and delivered on time. They are knowledgeable and we find working with them easy and straight forward. We therefore have no hesitation in recommending them."
Robert, Trembath Associates
“"Just a quick note to say thank you for sending such a great team to do the work. As well as clearly being very hardworking and hugely skilled, Mick, Andy, Clark and Dave were all exceptionally pleasant, considerate and cheerful guys to have around, and as such a huge credit to Green Oak."
Julia, Crabfields Farm
“"Thank you for the frame that you have just finished at Rogate. It was a miserable wet day, yesterday and John and team carried on regardless. We are delighted with the overall look and also the mouldings to the members. As usual, the frame was millimetre accurate and will be easy to take forward to complete the building."
Bob, Trembath Associates
“"I wanted to drop you a quick note to show my appreciation for your guys efforts today; they were a pleasure to have around the house and worked hard to get the frame up today."
Paul, Contracts Manager
“"Thanks for the excellent job which has just been completed on the Oak Frame extension to the above property. Not only is the quality of the work faultless, it is a true work of art, which will bring endless enjoyment to me and my wife. The end result has surpassed our wildest expectations."
