We are always on the look out for passionate, driven individuals to join our team, based in Liss. Previous Oak Framing experience is preferred, however we remain open to anyone committed and eager to learn.

As an oak frame carpenter, you will play a vital role in the fabrication and assembly of our bespoke timber frame structures, ensuring the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assemble timber frame structures according to detailed plans and specifications.
– Use a variety of hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fit timber components.
– Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
– Ensure all work meets company quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.
– Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
– Perform quality checks and make adjustments as necessary.
– Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

– Proven experience in timber frame assembly, with a strong portfolio of complete projects.
– Excellent knowledge of timber properties and woodworking techniques.
– Proficiency in using and maintaining hand and power tools, including saws, chisels and drills.
– Understanding of technical drawings and ability to interpret necessary information.
– Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
– Good physical stamina and the ability to work at height and in various weather conditions.
– Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
– A valid driver’s license is preferred.
– Must have the ability to stay away from home for short periods of time for on-site frame assembly.
