Green Oak Carpentry, based near Liss, Hampshire, is hiring an Estimator to join our growing team. We specialise in traditional oak framing, combining classic craftsmanship with modern building techniques.

This isn’t your average, repetitive desk job. In this role, you will be at the very heart of all our projects—helping to turn client’s visions into reality. If you have a sharp eye for numbers, a passion for building, and are looking for a varied career where no two days are the same, this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

– Answering initial enquiries
– Preparing and pricing estimates, working to customer requirements and offering advice for customers needs
– Helping with the early design concepts.
– Accurately calculating materials, cost and labour.
– Collaborating with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
– This is a varied role where no day is the same. It will be mainly office based but will require some site visits.

Requirements:

–  Due to this being a customer facing role we would like someone polite, enthusiastic and easy to talk to, with an interest in timber construction.
– Computer literate, particularly Excel & Outlook
– Strong attention to detail.
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
– Self-driven
– Keen to help develop a key role within a growing company.
– Good numeracy skills and written and spoken English

Must Haves:

– A clean UK driving license
– Able to use Microsoft Office Software
– Due to being in a remote location your own car is essential
– Experience in SketchUp and AutoCad are desirable but not essential
