Planting a legacy for the next 30 years

As Green Oak Carpentry celebrates 30 years of crafting beautiful timber buildings, we’re looking firmly towards the future.

For three decades, our work has been rooted in a deep respect for timber, traditional craftsmanship and the landscapes that inspire every project we create. Now, as we enter our next chapter, we’re proud to announce a new partnership with The Future Forest Company that reflects one of our core values above all else – Stewardship.

To mark the beginning of our 30th anniversary celebrations, we have planted 30 trees through The Future Forest Company, creating a lasting symbol of where we’ve come from and where we’re heading.

But this is only the beginning.

Every project will help grow a forest

From now on, every client who commissions a new Green Oak Carpentry project will receive the gift of a tree. We’ll then plant another ourselves.

That means every new project will contribute two new trees, helping restore some of Britain’s most precious natural landscapes while creating a growing legacy that both we and our clients can share.

Together, we’ll be supporting the restoration of native woodlands, peatlands, wetlands and biodiversity-rich habitats across twelve restoration sites throughout the UK, helping create healthier ecosystems for generations to come.

More than planting trees

For us, sustainability has never been about making a statement. It’s about making considered decisions.

Oak is one of nature’s most remarkable renewable materials, and we carefully source all of our structural timber from sustainably managed forests. We design buildings intended to last for generations, using traditional craftsmanship that celebrates longevity rather than short-term construction.

Our partnership with The Future Forest Company is a natural extension of that philosophy.

Their approach focuses on restoring entire landscapes that support biodiversity and help tackle climate change.

One of the most exciting aspects of this partnership is that every tree contributes to a growing story.

Rather than simply making a promise, we’ll be able to measure the difference we’re making together — year after year. As more Green Oak Carpentry projects are completed, our forest will continue to grow alongside them.
