Craft a more
rewarding career
We’re a friendly team, based in the beautiful Hampshire countryside near Liss. We design, build and assemble oak framed and timber buildings of all shapes and sizes for clients across the UK.
We’re not a high-volume, fast-paced organisation – we work
steadily and carefully, using traditional techniques and materials,
and taking a shared pride in our people and our craft.
What is it like to
work here?
The workshops and office are on the same site, and everyone knows each other. This isn’t the kind of company where the owners hide away in a fancy office – they’re on site almost every day and roll up their sleeves as much as everyone else.
We take tea breaks and lunch together every day, and there’s a fantastic connection between those of us on the workbench and those of us at desks – everyone’s input is valued, whether you’ve been here for two months or twenty years.
You’ll find an incredible mix of experience here – from apprentices learning the trade to team leaders with decades of knowledge. We invest in our people and in the skills that make this craft what it is.
The work itself is endlessly varied – in any given year, you might work on a domestic extension, a public building, a canal lock gate or a barn restoration. No two jobs are the same, making this an interesting, varied place to work with solid opportunities to develop your professional skills.
We care about our impact. Oak framing may already be a low-carbon industry, but we know there’s lots more we can do to protect the environment. We’re making steady progress at becoming a carbon-zero operation and welcome input from our team to help make this happen.
Here’s what you’ll get
when you join us
