The Cottage Pool

Sling braced trusses are popular for clients due to their appealing open space and the omission of a tie beam at plate level. The joint between stub ties and sling braces features pegged, lapped dovetail or pegged, wedged through tenon connections. Curved wind braces enhance stability and add traditional charm. Inside the pool barn, the side aisle offers seating and storage. Copper standing seam flat roofs characterize sections, while oak cappings secure double glazed units and doors using a ‘direct glazed system’ that prevents water ingress. Slings are crafted from curved stock to ensure strength without short grain issues. Curved collars complete the elegant ‘raised tie truss’ design.
